HERITAGE QUILTERS GUILD MINUTES

MEMBERS PRESENT: Juie, Jean, Cyndy, RoLayne, Heidi Kathryn, Susan R, Sue, Nedra, Patti, JoCee, Roxane, Wanda, Laurie, Sheryl, and Ralene

DISCUSSION:
1. This year’s block exchange was discussed. Since Julie will be our Block Exchange coordinator for 2015 it was discussed if members wanted to continue with the 2014 block. Those that are still interested were to let Julie know. Laurie handed out the last blocks for 2014.
2. Patti discussed our activity for January. We will be having a UFO party. Ralene will make a new UFO card for members to use listing their UFOs they plan to complete in 2015. UFO projects need to have already been started (not a new project) and brought to Guild as a complete project that is quilted and bound. At the January party the remaining money in the UFO kitty will be awarded to someone.
3. Our January meeting will be held at Laurie’s home. We had a discussion on meeting options for our Guild since we are not able to meet at the Fire Station/Community Center.
4. Julie announced our new Area Representative. Peggy Schulz is our Rep.
5. Julie passed out a flyer announcing the Moab Retreat being held February 18-21, 2015
6. Julie advised us that in one of the Christmas ornament packages the instructions had been left out. She has a copy for those that need them.
7. We were reminded that dues for 2015 are due next month. It was decided that if you had not paid dues by March your name will be taken off as a member. Dues are $25 for the year.
8. Kathryn and Patti are our Retreat Chairman’s for next year. Dates for our retreat were discussed. Kathryn will check to see if we can meet September 24-26, 2015. She will let us know the results.
9. Roxane and Laurie discussed our blog and MailChimp. Members can sign into the blog now
10. Roxane announced our new Board members for 2015. They are:
